7 Budget-Friendly Events Worth Checking Out During the F1 Grand Prix Season

It’s all glitz and glam (and noise) as Formula 1 returns to Singapore this year. It also marks the 10th anniversary of the Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) so you can expect an exciting line-up of events this September. I am guilty of never attending a single race (because I rather spend money on the dining deals), but for those who are going, the F1 ticket has probably made a little dent in your pocket, so rev up for these budget-friendly events that you can still show up to!

1.  Naiise Design Circuit

Gear up for a scavenger hunt on wheels at Singapore’s first design, lifestyle and heritage cycling trail! In partnership with bicycle-sharing service oBike, the trail will take you through 10 pit stops, providing you exclusive access to each location. Complimentary refreshments from their refuel stop sponsors like Soi 55 and Everything With Fries will be given too!

It’s a great way to see a different side of Singapore while clocking in the exercise needed to burn away the calories from all the local food.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a kid or kid at heart, there is something fun for everyone in this imaginative exhibition! This year’s theme, Dreams and Stories, is created to make art fun and interactive for the little ones and to bring out the inner child in the not-so-little ones *ahem me*. Explore the world through the 10 art installations of 9 artists from Singapore and beyond spread throughout the gallery. I would most definitely spend most of my time in the Homogenizing and Transforming World smacking the lighted spheres pretending I’m in another realm.
