If you are craving for a classic beef pastrami sandwich that can rival those in New York, your prayers have been answered. Not only does Sacha & Sons do a mean, heaping pastrami sandwich, it is quite possibly, home to the best hand-rolled bagels in town.

Go for a Grilled Reuben ($18) or Classic Pastrami ($16) which are packed with 150g of tender, juicy house-cured and smoked beef pastrami. And if that isn’t enough for you, you can always get it in XL.
I’ll admit, the first thing I thought of while having my meal was the deli scene in “Where Harry Met Sally”, though I wouldn’t be surprised if you have the same reaction after a bite of their pastrami sandwich *sniggers*.
Another notable dish is the Latkes (potato and onion pancakes), a traditional Jewish dish served during Hannukah. It reminded me of a Rösti, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside… mmm no doubt, potatoes are the best kind of comfort food. And if you are torn between the pastrami and Latkes, guess what, you can have them both with hollandaise sauce for $16, why choose one when you can have both right?
A shout-out to all liver pâté fans out there! I have no doubt that Sacha & Sons does one of THE BEST chopped liver pâté in town. And if you’re not a fan (yet), give this rich, tasty and smooth goodness a try! I hope it will make a beliver out of you (heheheh).
While prices here can be a little steep (~$25-$30/pax), you can be sure that you are paying for quality, traditional homemade fare. Overall, Sacha & Sons has done a splendid job of creating an authentic New York deli in Singapore, and I would definitely return for their great brunch options.
