Nope, this isn’t Professor McGonagall’s desk on the set of Harry Potter, this is The Mustang Nero, a boutique hotel in Bangkok. From the outside, it looks like a normal commercial building, but step inside, and you will find yourself transported into a jungle wonderland. The building houses a main lobby/dining room and 6 rooms in total, each unique in its own way but all very very aesthetically appealing. I would change rooms everyday if I could! #justsaying
Major props for its unique interior featuring very raw and minimalistic aesthetics, seriously vintage furnitures, decorated with woodland creatures and plants at every corner, it is a place that you gotta see it to believe it. Oh and if you’re scared of animals, don’t worry, they don’t bite.
The Mustang Nero is situated about 10 mins walk away from Phra Khanong BTS Station, with a few restaurants scattered around the area (oh and you will find a lovely old man selling coconut ice cream on his little cart for only 20baht at noon just outside the building! Really really good for the sweltering Bangkok heat).
I really enjoyed my stay at The Mustang Nero, if anything, I was completely won over by its tastefully decorated interior. You’re probably thinking that this is gonna be some expensive boutique hotel just based on the amount of effort placed on the interior decoration alone, well, good news you guys! Rates start at $71 (what a steal!), and it comes with very friendly staff, nice-smelling charcoal soaps (this is really important you guys), clean rooms, homemade breakfast and a good location, this IS the whole package. If you find any available room on your travel dates, waste no time in booking it, hesitate and you will miss the opportunity to stay in this one-of-a-kind Airbnb.
