The Epic Street Party You Wouldn’t Want To Miss

The good folks of LopeLab, Urban Ventures and The Working Capitol, are reclaiming the streets of Keong Siak this October 21st for you and I to indulge in our individuality. This street party will be the 7th edition of the Urban Ventures Street Party and it promises to be louder, bigger and better than ever. Admission is free so there is no excuse for you to sit this one out!

What can we expect?

Shop to your heart’s content at the Artisan market, party up with Drag Queens, and score massive bargains on pre-loved items from popular influencers like Valerie Wang, Myke Motus and Irina Tan. Indulge in delicious grub from Park Bench Deli, Omakase Burgers, Neon Pigeon and the likes or pamper yourself with FREE manicure or face painting by Vaniday.

What’s a party without music? Don’t fret, for there is an impressive line-up of local bands and musicians to serenade you with their tunes from 4.15pm all the way till 10pm. Perfect to grab a beer or two and chill out to the groove. Or alternatively, you could grab a beer at the outdoor Sunset Beer Yoga event and feel less guilty about the calories (nah, just kidding, calories don’t count on the weekend).

If you’re a history buff, take a walk down memory lane and revisit the Keong Saik of the 1930s to 1980s with Charmaine Leung, author of 17A Keong Saik Road. Or kick back in a hammock and enjoy the spoken word from emerging poets.

You can dance like no one’s watching, sing like there’s no tomorrow, cry at the beautiful literature and stare at the beautiful art installations for hours and just do you. Let your inhibitions melt away and come express yourself in a place where you don’t have to apologize for being uniquely you. Check out the highlights of the previous editions in the video below!
