YOTEL, coined the “Ipod of the Hotel Industry” will be opening its doors on 1 October at the heart of Singapore’s shopping belt, Orchard Road. It will be a 600 cabin property, inspired by first-class airline cabins, to provide a flexible and convenient ‘first class’ hotel experience at affordable prices. It will act as a spring board into Asia for YOTEL following the opening of its 669 cabin hotel in Times Square, New York. It is a hotel that that we are highly anticipating, and you’ll see why.
With a chain of microhotels under its belt in airports (London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Amsterdam Schiphol etc) and first-tier cities (New York, Boston and San Francisco,) Yotel is definitely not new to the hotel scene. “Inspired by first class travel, YOTEL translates the language of luxury airline travel into compact but luxurious spaces without the hefty price tag. ” The whole concept of Yotel can be summarised into “modern luxuries coupled with convenience that’s value-for-money.”
So what makes Yotel stand-out from its competitors? Well for one, they have their Signature SmartBed designed to maximise your sleep experience in the best way possible. Oh the importance of a good night’s sleep for a full day of shopping at Orchard Road.
“Adjustable beds are becoming the new standard for good sleep hygiene by providing comfortable and variable postures for reading, work and entertainment.”
Yotel also anticipates the needs of travellers, like doing away with traditional check-in counters and replacing it with self check-in kiosks. After all, who really wants to wait at the lobby for their key card after a long flight? By scraping away the unnecessary features of a typical hotel, Yotel can focus on what really matters, your comfort and convenience.
Yotel will also be opening another hotel at Changi Airport in 2018.
So if you’re traveling to Singapore in October onwards, or just facny a short staycation, do check out Yotel for a brand-new experience. Last we checked, rates start at $140 on Expedia, and if you ask me, WHAT A STEAL WHAT A STEAL. Could be its opening promotion, so fastest fingers first!
